Dežru Spec-RS Coilovers – Porsche 997

The Dežru Spec-RS coilover system is engineered to complement the unique character of the Porsche 997 chassis, a rear-engine platform known for its exceptional steering feel and demanding balance requirements. Designed specifically around the 997’s suspension geometry and weight distribution, the Spec-RS delivers modern, motorsport-inspired damping control while preserving the car’s trademark feedback and confidence.

Developed for serious street drivers and track-focused enthusiasts, the Spec-RS utilizes digressive piston valving to provide strong low-speed chassis support during braking, turn-in, and transitions, while remaining composed and compliant over imperfect surfaces. This balance allows the 997 to feel planted and predictable without becoming nervous or harsh at the limit.

Fixed-length damper bodies paired with a 30–45 mm adjustable lowered ride height ensure proper suspension stroke and geometry are maintained. This approach preserves bump travel and roll center behavior, allowing the 997 to remain stable and confidence-inspiring during aggressive driving.

Key Features

  • Digressive monotube dampers for precise control, consistent damping behavior, and clear driver feedback.

  • Fixed-length damper bodies with 30–45 mm adjustable lowered ride height to maintain proper suspension geometry and usable stroke.

  • Adjustable damping to fine-tune rebound for street driving, canyon roads, or dedicated track use.

  • 250 lb/in front and 450 lb/in rear spring rates, carefully selected to balance front-end bite with rear stability on the rear-engine 997 platform.

  • Linear HyperCoil springs for predictable load transfer and smooth response throughout the suspension travel.

  • Pillowball front top mounts for improved steering precision, alignment accuracy, and consistent feedback.

  • Hand-built, dyno-matched pairs to ensure precise left-to-right damping consistency.

Performance Character

The Spec-RS enhances the Porsche 997’s natural steering feel while adding a higher level of chassis control and composure under braking, mid-corner loading, and corner exit. The digressive damping profile delivers firm, supportive control during initial inputs, paired with controlled compliance that maintains traction and confidence as grip levels rise.

The result is a flat, stable, and communicative driving experience, with improved front-end response and a planted rear that allows power to be applied smoothly and predictably on both road and track.
