Dežru Spec-RS • Track First Porsche 996 Carrera 2 (1999–2004)

Built for precision, consistency, and confidence at the limit.

Engineered around aggressive track demands, the Spec-RS delivers elevated damping authority, sharper response, and heat-resistant performance to keep your 996 composed through long sessions and repeat hot laps.

Dežru Spec-RS Coilovers – Porsche 996 (Carrera / Carrera 4)

The Dežru Spec-RS coilover system is engineered specifically for the Porsche 996, a rear-engine performance platform that demands precise damping control, strong mid-corner support, and stability under heavy braking and throttle application. Designed around the 996’s suspension geometry, rear weight bias, and motorsport potential, the Spec-RS delivers a substantial increase in grip, confidence, and consistency when driven aggressively.

Built for drivers who push their 996 hard on spirited roads, time attack, and HPDE track events, the Spec-RS features aggressive digressive piston valving with elevated rebound authority and firmer compression control compared to Spec-S. This allows the chassis to stay composed during rapid transitions, high lateral loads, and sustained high-speed driving. Ride frequencies are intentionally higher than street-focused systems, targeting a ~2.2–2.5 Hz range for precise response and repeatable performance.

Fixed-length damper bodies paired with a track-oriented adjustable lowered ride height preserve usable suspension stroke while maintaining proper roll center and geometry. This approach keeps the car predictable at the limit and stable during trail braking and corner exit, even on high-grip tires.

Key Features

  • Motorsport-focused digressive monotube dampers delivering strong low-speed support and controlled high-speed compliance.

  • Fixed-length damper bodies with adjustable lowered ride height to preserve suspension geometry and bump travel.

  • Wide-range adjustable damping allowing precise rebound tuning for tire, aero, and track conditions.

  • 250 lb/in front and 450 lb/in rear spring rates, selected to stabilize the rear-engine layout while maintaining front grip and steering clarity.

  • Linear HyperCoil springs for predictable load transfer and consistent response at the limit.

  • Performance upper mounts optimized for alignment accuracy and track durability.

  • Hand-built, dyno-matched dampers ensuring precise left-to-right consistency.

Performance Character

The Spec-RS transforms the Porsche 996 into a sharper, more planted, and more confidence-inspiring machine at speed. Increased rebound authority keeps the chassis settled during braking and transitions, while controlled compression allows the tires to maintain contact over curbing and surface imperfections.

The result is a Porsche 996 that feels precise, stable, and predictable at the limit, with the damping control needed for serious performance driving without sacrificing mechanical grip.
