The Dežru Spec-S coilover system is engineered specifically for the BMW E36 3-Series, a lighter and more compliant chassis that rewards proper spring selection and modern damper control. Designed around the E36’s suspension geometry, weight distribution, and rear-wheel-drive layout, the Spec-S delivers improved stability, sharper turn-in, and greater confidence while preserving the analog, communicative feel that makes the E36 so respected.

Developed for drivers who daily their E36 but still enjoy spirited street driving, canyon roads, and occasional HPDE track days, the Spec-S features digressive piston valving that provides strong low-speed chassis support during braking, turn-in, and transitions, while remaining compliant over rough pavement and surface imperfections. Rather than relying on excessive stiffness, this setup targets a balanced ride frequency in the ~1.9–2.2 Hz range, tightening body control while keeping the car predictable and forgiving.

Fixed-length damper bodies paired with a 30–40 mm adjustable lowered ride height ensure proper suspension stroke and geometry are preserved. This maintains usable bump travel and consistent roll behavior, allowing the E36 to remain composed and confidence-inspiring when driven aggressively.

Why We Recommend 325 lb/in Front & 450 lb/in Rear for the BMW E36

From the factory, however, it’s tuned with relatively soft spring rates, which can lead to body roll, rear-end squat, and a less controlled feel when driven aggressively.
